About the Role

This position will have a design or technical focus and be a member of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership and will be an integral part of project teams.

Requirements

  • Assist with the execution of the project goals throughout all phases (Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration).

  • Assist in the development of the design including planning and three-dimensional studies.

  • Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces to include drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern designs, elevations, details, etc.

  • Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications throughout all phases of interior design work, as required.

  • Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost and quality constraints.

  • Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work.

  • Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.

  • Participate in client meetings to gain client interaction and presentation experience.

  • Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, and conducting punch list. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.

  • Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents.

  • Actively participate and promote design quality.

  • Understand proper application of materials.

  • May perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.

  • Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.

  • Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content.

  • Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Proficiency with Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required
